It's been a valuable experience to approach my energy-provider in Holland, not the designer of the Smart Meter, inquiring about their knowledge of risks in loss of privacy and safety in the house, due to control of residents' whereabout and lifestyle, plus the threat of explosive smart meters, such as those which have caused fires in homes in the USA. This subject was discussed among members of the Forum, on that firm's website. A small group of members in that Forum are supposed to help customers in getting used to these new gadgets.

Much technical glitches and lack of functions or sudden high measures pointing at (seemingly) higher energy-use, occurred now and than. It's a lively discussion in that Forum part. My inquiry caused a conversation amongst themselves, online, for everyone to read, with remarks like "never heard of it" , of ridicule and even judgmental prejudice, treating my inquiry as if coming from a "he". Funny, how the man is looked at as the defender of the hearth at home. Chopping wood in the old days, now pondering the smart meter for hours on end, while mom and the kids wait for him at the dinner table, ha ha.

Alas, to make matters worse, pun intended, I posted a couple of links with research data about Smart Meters and their effect on health and wallet of the user. The sarcasm increased of course and one of the moderators send warning to stay on topic and respect customer's questions.

I decided to go closer to the management department and send a couple of complaints about the way members in the forum were treating my questions and those of one other customer who shared her concern about health risks due to electrosmog. That customer wrote in an emotional disturbed way and wasn't good in stating facts. Bait for those who were ready to ridicule, which was gladly applied. That customer's argument was pushed aside by one of the forum- supporters. He had found out that the email address of that customer didn't exist. Said he!

Hmm. In the meantime, I received a very smooth email response with apologies and acknowledgments of my concerns and reason for complaints and a promise that my inquiries would be looked into. I was thanked for my concern and assured that the info and data I had provided would be taken seriously and studied thoroughly, for hey... weren't they as much concerned for the safety of their customers as I was? No part of this mail was genuine, it was thoroughly "thought out" and designed to smooth the wrinkles and the ruffles in my feathers, avoiding further ruffling of their own. Isn't it interesting how these strategies are planned and put in practice? I don't expect anything coming of that firm's stance on the subject, but I've at least caused a ripple in their pond and that's enough.

A whole street with houses in a row, each with a smart meter installed, has the same amount of electrosmog radiation as one of those high masts with all kind of antennas on them for tv, mobile phone and internet reception.
good one! don't let those monkeys push you around.. I'm glad you got through to some while avoiding
the ruffles in your chip dip

If we keep the pressure up then more and more people willmpay attention. This will create a resistance to them, it might even get some of the minions working in the electric companies to question their morals!

All forums are full of trolls. Don't feed the trolls! Ignore them. (They are probably well-trained well-brainwashed ex-university students who think they know everything, and are full of ego, but universities are just lucrative businesses linked to pharma, oil, military, etc, who rob young students in return for a fake education))

There is an international media BLACKOUT on smart meters, so very few people are aware of the problem, so do not oppose them.

This is true but I generally dont go on forum sites. I just post on website and here really. My main exposure of info is talking face to face

What are their thoughts on Professor Martin Pall's 2013 paper "Electromagnetic fields act via activation of voltage-gated calcium channels to produce beneficial or adverse effects"? In light of it why do they maintain that only thermal effects need be guarded against?

Who do you mean, DonnyLad, with "their thoughts"? It's not about being right or wrong on this level of discussion with big boys like energy providers. They probably know more than you expect, but it's not in their interest to use that knowledge to your benefit or all of their customers. The wallet is priority, not the awakening to their responisbility. You can only do your own homework. By delving and diving in rabbit holes, you may own what you know and embody it. Others can't do it for you, not even I can do it for you, ha ha.... just laughing about myself.

Peepastinkel: I mean: what are the thoughts of your energy provider?
Tuesday 26 April 2016, 11:57:22
This question is probably rhetorical and they are not likely to give you a straight answer, as I think you have hinted at in your latest posting.

Yes, DonnyLad, the question is rhetorical, you've figured that out by yourself, great, so now I don't have to do that about your question :)

Have you heard about Dr. Bruce Lipton and epigenetics? I can suggest to take a look at the following lecture about epigenetics ;

Hello AwakenYaMind, I'm back from my "break" now and for those who're still interested to know how my energy provider is handling my comments in the Forum about Smart Meters and other issues concerning the customers, I'm now posting little "bombs of evidence" about Smart Meter use, as soon as it comes out on internet, on YouTube or otherwise. Specially evidence based on factual measurements of EMF in homes with smart meters. Plus reports on visits of Smart Meter installers, entering the homes of residents that are away for the day, without getting in touch with them about it. It's enforced on people.

hey, good to see you back Peepastinakel! i'd like to hear more on your progress about those meters cuz i've had minimal success with my parents to convince them to get rid of theirs

Hello AYAM, I'll let you know when I have something useful to tell. Meanwhile I'm not following the discussions on that Forum much, the one of my energy-provider. I simply drop little bombs and leave them alone, chewing on them. So far they're just cynical and in denial. I guess many people look at these gadgets as a service from their government, or energy provider, taking part in technological progress which strokes their ego, throwing a "housewarming" party, pun intended, to show off the smart meter, decorated with a ribbon, to the admiring neighbours. Just like what people did when television became "the thing to have" in their home. Here's a YouTube video that shows clear evidence of EMF radiation in the home:…

haha! ahh, i missed you on here.. thanx, i share quite the same sentiments and ways of spreading the word in ways to avoid arguments or knee jerks to the face

Thanks for sharing sure a scary video. Here in the UK we don't have to have one till 2020, i'll be sure to fight it. Thinking I need to get Ethernet, not sure we can on our router though! Wow!
