We pay a living wage to everyone who is earning an income under $120,000 per annum.
Every empty house that can be renovated is registered with a federal board.
These houses are still owned by the owner. But they are not counted as an asset.any more and are not rated against the owner.
Any person who does not own a home and who receives the living wage is eligible to move to one of these houses. They live there rent free. But they pay all rates, bills and renovate these properties.
This then turns into credit points for them. So that if they want to buy they get so much towards their purchase.
If any of these houses ever need to be sold then the option is there for the living tenant to purchase.
When the living tenant wants to move on the house reverts to the owner or stays in the system.
